Current Projects/Priorities
trying to concentrate on one thing at a time :)
build agricultural hangar
put in water system, involving terracing, reed bed system, new solar
showers, ponds, oh yes we have plans!
dig holes for more hedges, we have seen hedgehogs at home now, the dogs
become very excited! they dont attack though... Feel free to donate a
tree to help counter your carbon footprint :D
carry on clearing pasture for the sheep and goats, still not a summer
job
move greenhouse
Fence in our land whilst the hedges take form so animals can graze
amongst newly planted and old trees
upkeep compost piles and create new ones
build new chicken shed and run
create duck paradise
build more stone walls
cook preserves and pickles possibly smoke meat, milk sheep
always progress to be made on the market garden side
hope i haven't forgotten anything - below is the old list - we
have progressed, yipee!
Make a screen for the solar shower
Dig lots of holes (1mx1m) for the trees that people who fly here are
going to buy to plant at ours once we let them know...
Burn lots of brush to clear pasture. This is not a summer job!
Pick up glass offered by friends in village - plus bits of greenhouse;
Fencing;
Turn composts - empty sheep barn (ooof - big job!);
Extend Chicken Run, and split it up for rotation and reseeding;
Cover duck section cos of bird flu scare;
Build stone features;
Cook preserves and pickles;
General garden maintenance - there are always jobs to do in the garden-
repotting, weeding, distributing manure, dig new beds...
Our sales point in the village: "the grange" needs to have a shower and
a toilet.
